See ourMagical in its diversity, discover the treasures that Tuscany has to offer, as well as a trip to the beautiful Cinque Terre on the Italian Riviera coastline. This itinerary is one that marries some of our most popular destinations in the area, from coast to countryside, all in one perfectly curated trip.
You will fly to Pisa Airport and on arrival, you will be met by Topflight's Resort Manager who will show you to your coach. You will be transferred to your hotel, the Hotel Atlantico set on Tuscany's golden coast.
After breakfast you will board the coach to embark on an excursion to the visually stunning area of Cinque Terre. Cinque Terre, meaning Five Lands is a unique and beautiful collection of five villages which hug the cliff sides along a short stretch of the Ligurian coastline. These villages are celebrated primarily for being so sympathetic to the surrounding natural environment, that they appear to have naturally grown there.
The coach will take you to La Spezia, a town with a rich maritime history and beautiful beaches.
From here, you will take a short boat ride along the coast to the beautiful Portovenere. The picturesque harbour here is lined with brightly coloured houses, while narrow mediaeval streets, lined with quaint shops, lead up the hill from the ancient city gate to the castle.
You will board a boat once again to take to your next stop on today’s tour which is Vernazza. This elegant little town allows no car traffic and remains one of the most authentic fishing villages in all of the Italian Riviera.
Once again you will board the boat onto Monterossa which is the largest of the five villages. Your guide will take you to the old centre of Monterosso, which boasts buildings dating back to mediaeval times and an inviting, old world charm.
Later, you will take the train back towards La Spezia where you will board your coach which will return you to your hotel in time to get ready for your evening meal.
After breakfast this morning, your coach will pick you up to take you to the port where we will board the ferry to Isola d’Elba or Elba Island. Rich in history and glorious nature, this beautiful island boasts a uniquely secluded charm, which you will discover today on your guided tour. You will visit Napolean's residence, Villa dei Mulini, before continuing along a scenic route to Porto Azurro and its historical centre.
After a day of exploration on this historical gem, full of natural beauty, you will take the ferry back to Piombino where your coach will be waiting to return you back to your hotel.
Today you have a day to spend at your leisure and after a couple of jam packed days of sightseeing and exploration, it will no doubt be welcomed. We recommend you take the day to relax and unwind in Forte dei Marmi, your base for your week’s holiday. Take to the stunning beaches, where elegant beach clubs offer well kept sunbeds and parasols to allow you to simply lounge in the glorious Tuscan sunshine.
Once again, enjoy a wholesome breakfast before being picked up by your coach this morning. Your next destination is the utterly enchanting UNESCO world heritage town of Siena. On arrival, you will be met by a local tour guide for a guided walking tour of the historical area, distinguished by its medieval brick buildings. Admire Siena's unforgettable skyline and its wonderful collection of monuments, palaces, and churches.
After a couple of hours exploring with your city guide, you will return back to the coach which will bring you on to the next stop - a winery in the famous Chianti region. Here you will explore the vineyard, speak to the producers of some of the most famous Italian wines and of course enjoy a wine tasting for yourself, accompanied by some delicious Italian snacks.
Afterwards, we will board the coach once again to be returned to your hotel for the evening.
This morning the coach will bring you to the very famous city of Pisa, best known for its leaning tower and ‘Miracle Square’. But beyond the world-famous square there is a great town waiting to be explored. Your tour guide will take you to wander along the Renaissance-style Piazza dei Cavalieri, the “Borgo Stretto”, the Arno’s banks lined with noble palaces, museums and monuments bearing witness to the High Middle Ages, when the city grew into a very important commercial and naval center becoming one of the four Maritime Republics, together with Venice, Amalfi and Genoa. As Pisa is a university centre there is a bustling atmosphere.
After discovering Pisa, you will be brought to the wonderful walled city of Lucca for a guided walking tour. Wander through the narrow cobbled-stone lanes and pass numerous palaces and churches. It is a veritable open air museum. The huge and imposing ramparts (city walls) are undoubtedly one of the most popular attractions of Lucca. Fringed with bastion gardens, they encircle the town for over 4 kms and are topped with a tree-lined pedestrian promenade. The views are spectacular.
Your final day will be spent as you wish. You may wish to take it easy and spend some more time on the Tuscan Coast, relaxing on the beautiful beaches. If you are still thirsty to see more though, there is plenty more that the area can offer. We highly recommend a visit to the nearby town of Pietrasanta which is known for its marble and therefore is a city that is well known for its art. Not only do artists flock to the inspirational town, but the streets look like an outdoor art museum, with sculptures and exhibitions often lining the squares.
Your coach will pick you up for youur transfer to Pisa Airport, where you will take your returning flight back to Dublin.
This property is offered on a Half Board basis. Dinner is 3 course.
Set on the Tuscan coast, Hotel Atlantico is based just a 2-minute walk away from the beautiful strtech of beach. Forte di Marmi is considered an truly elegant area and the promenade is lined with beach clubs, beautiful boutiques and great restaurants.
