Arc 1800

With its proximity to a wealth of beginners’ slopes, Arc 1800 is the perfect base for those new to the pistes. The largest of les Arcs’ resorts, the bustling village also boasts an après-ski résumé considered to be among the best in the entire region.

The area around Arc 1800 offers mostly easy to moderate pistes, so it’s a great spot for those new to the slopes. Skiers will also find an array of long, blue runs around the resort itself and towards Arc 1600. More advanced skiers can hop on the Transarc gondola or one of the resort’s 3 chairlifts, which head towards the more challenging pistes. Boarders can also enjoy easy access to a freestyle park, L’Apocalypse, situated between Arc 1800 and Arc 1600.

Although modern in layout, Arc 1800 is traditional at heart, with classic Alpine style buildings creating an authentic charm. It is made up of four different pedestrianised areas: Charmettoger, Le Charvet, Le Chantel, and Les Villards, which is known as the resort centre and where all the main amenities and services are located. Families will be happy to know that kids are well catered for in Arc 1800 – there is a crėche for little ones aged 1 year and up, a ski kindergarten and a child-friendly ski school.

Stay in, Edenarc Residence, a spacious, comfortable aparthotel, which is smack bang on the piste and a hop, skip and an (ahem) ski from the resort’s centre and ski school.

You’ll never be bored in Arc 1800. Its après ski is diverse and vibrant, with plenty of pubs, piano bars and nightclubs to keep you thoroughly entertained into the early hours of the morning! If partying isn’t for you, fret not – the range of outdoor activities available in the resort is vast. Explore the wealth of shops throughout the village, pop into one of the many restaurants, or pay a visit the resort’s cinema or bowling alley!

Lying just above Arc 1800 is Mille 8, a recently built, snow-themed entertainment area – the perfect spot for some family fun! A veritable winter wonderland, little ones and big ones alike can enjoy a range of indoor and outdoor activities, including a themed discovery piste, which winds it's way down a gentle slope through the trees, a 900m long toboggan run, organised snowball fights, a golf simulator and a range of wellness activities including Snowga (yoga sessions in the snow!), a spa and hot tubs, which boast amazing views of Mont Blanc.
